We believe that a future without librarians is no future. Our team of librarians across the world play an instrumental part in helping us to better understand the role of the librarian in the scholarly communication ecosystem and how Sage can help meet their needs. We are pleased to offer the following initiatives to our librarian community:
We support annual travel grants to leading library conferences across global such as ALA Annual, Charleston, ALPSP, and UKSG. With the rapid evolution of the industry, these efforts help us to support our library partners by ensuring they have access to informational presentations and debates from industry thought leaders.
We publish and supports several reports to help better understand the changing challenges that librarians face. From open access and discoverability, to library value and libraries in the developing world, we invite librarians to browse through our free collection of white papers.
Sage holds regular Library Advisory Board groups, focus groups, product usability testing, and informal meetings with libraries around the world to test current and new business models, as well as provide insight into the challenges faced by the community.
We offer a range of resources to institutions in developing countries for free or at a greatly reduced price, through several global initiatives including Research4Life, INASP and eIFL. Find out more about our partnerships
SAGE has made a major contribution to advancing our knowledge, pushing the boundaries of our thinking and making sure that important information was in our hands and on our minds.
