SAGE partners with Australasian Evaluation Society to publish the Evaluation Journal of Australasia

January 31, 2018

SAGE Publishing today announced that it is to begin publishing Evaluation Journal of Australasia (EJA), on behalf of the Australasian Evaluation Society (AES). The first SAGE published issue will be in March 2018.

Since 1987 EJA’s primary aim has been the dissemination of both current research and innovative practice in the field of evaluation in order to advance its theory, practice and use.

Lyn Alderman, Editor of EJA and President of the Australasian Evaluation Society, commented:

“At the heart of our mission is the drive to support the global interaction with, and dissemination of, the research and practice of evaluation. I strongly believe that SAGE, with its established international reach, will be able to enhance this goal and provide the support for EJA that will help bring the research to a wider international field.”

Chief Executive Officer at AES, Bill Wallace, remarked:

“SAGE has a valued history with research methods and we are pleased that EJA will become a part of their established journal portfolio. Working with SAGE, we can enhance the reach and global platform of the journal as a leading publication in the evaluation and research methods field. We look forward to seeing its growth and the harnessing the opportunities that this new home will present.”

Miranda Nunhofer, Executive Director, Humanities and Social Science Journals, SAGE Publishing, further commented:

“Interdisciplinary research is essential for bringing different perspectives to any area of study. The EJA provides a unique focus on research methods and evaluation within the Australasia region. We look forward to welcoming the journal and its esteemed board of editors to SAGE and further supporting and enhancing its global offerings.”
