Ready to Teach
This book is here to help by:
Giving them what they need to know to teach all areas of primary grammar
Explaining what's good to know to support more able children
Outlining what good teaching of each part of grammar looks like in the classroom
Suggesting classroom activities for all areas of the SPaG curriculum
Also included is a section on the new SPaG test.
I cannot praise this book enough this is a wonderful reassuring book which would help anyone plan learning and confirm their understanding. Good font size and design. This is one of the best on this subject I have read this year.
A great book with practical solutions to support teachers in the classroom, we particularly liked the spelling chapter to support those with dyslexia.
This book is very accessible to students and follows key terminology featured in the national curriculum. It has useful explanations and examples of different grammatical terms and some good ideas about how to teach such language features in the classroom. Giving examples of texts that could be used to teach such language features would have been an added bonus.
