A fantastic resource but not appropriate for the level of study I required the resource for.
A great one stop shop for all the key terms and concepts our sport science students will encounter. The book contains well explained and easy to follow terminology that has further reading links attached to all sections for the diligent student.
Can not think any tutor would need all the chapters... a very diverse book covering subjects i have never taught or been taught. That aside the information contained is a very good read, even if just for your own information to maybe use whilst teaching another subject.
An excellent book which will help support all learners on the course, especially those with aspirations of achieving high grades. This book acts as a whistle stop tour of the sports industry and also provides suitable links for further reading.
I believe this little text is better for revision or as supplemental reading than as a main course text. We will use it when preparing tutors for delivering coaching courses. The vignettes give enough information without being overly taxing. It is also a nice little book for any beginning coach who wants to broaden their horizon, and will be on the recommended reading list.
The book will support students through a range of modules offering an insight into a range of key concepts to include pedagogy, physiology, psychology, biomechanics and sociology. This is an easy book to read and understand.

The book is a good reference for first year students, which allows them to read around different areas of sport and exercise science. I will be listing this as further reading for the students.

Entry level text that povides key pieces of information for students in a go to format
An informative but short copy. Relevant for BTEC Level 3 sports science students, It is a useful supplementary read and good addition to a course reading list.
This book provides very useful definitions of mechanical and Sports and Exercise Science concepts that are essential to the succesful completion of our degree courses. The book is clearly written and concise and it contains relevant examples, useful formulas and handy follow up references for further reading.
This will prove helpful to new undergraduate students to get to grips with ideas new to them in the first year of their sport and exercise science degree.

I have found this text to be a very useful source, particularly for first year students. I have recommended it for purchase for our library and put it on several module reading lists.
Module didn't run
This book provides a good base guide for learners with direction to further reading. Great for building vocabulary and glossaries within the Sports Science industry.
This text will be added to our recommended reading list, as it very nicely covers most of the taught sections of our Sports Module in a manner which easily accessible.
